This week has been so eventful! On Monday Steven started his first day of work back at Goldy's Breakfast Bistro. Steven had worked there for a few years until he joined the Army - the food is to die for!

Tuesday was Avery's first birthday! For about a week I had been holding in an emotional mommy meltdown over the fact that my itty bitty baby was going to be a 1 year old. I managed not to cry on her birthday thankfully. We had a party planned for Saturday so we had a quiet dinner with my mom and Steven's parents. I put Avery in her special birthday onesie that had a big 1 on the front :) Avery got a free dessert for her birthday - a chocolate cake brownie thing. She stuck her whole arm in the frosting but then panicked when she realized she was covered in chocolate. It was a great evening.

Steven had Wednesday and Thursday off so we had breakfast and registered the new car. Steven and Avery ran errands while I got my nails done :) It was nice to have an hour to myself before spending all day Friday cleaning for Avery's party and making countless trips to the store for forgotten items.

Saturday was the big day - Avery's birthday party! We had about 20 people show up - it was a great turnout. Avery got beyond spoiled with toys and clothes. We had a tiny cake for her to smash up but she barely touched it. She would poke the frosting and then try to get it off daintily. Avery was so excited when everyone started singing happy birthday to her. It was a wonderful party :D I'll post pictures of the party in a separate post.
